Ceramic coating and polish care guide
Here is how to keep a car clean for longer after ceramic coating and polishing. This is general advice; we explain the exact care for the product we applied after the work.
- Wash · pH-neutral shampoo
- Dry · no water spots
- Check · timing explained after the work
What is ceramic coating
A nano-ceramic (glass-film) coating forms a protective layer over the paint. It guards the car against dirt, UV light and acid rain and keeps a deep gloss for a long time.
How often should you maintain it
There is no single schedule. It depends on the coating product, where the car is parked (outdoors or underground) and how much it is driven.
As a general rule, many people recommend a rinse or a hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo every 2 to 4 weeks, before dirt hardens. Ask us for the exact check-up timing after the work.
What to watch out for when washing
- Wipe off bird droppings, insect marks and acid-rain stains as soon as you can.
- Automatic car washes with brushes can cause fine scratches, so it is better to avoid them.
- Strong acidic or alkaline cleaners can stress the coating, so use a pH-neutral shampoo.
- Washing in hot sun or on a hot body easily leaves water spots.
Polishing first, then coating
We first remove fine scratches by polishing to bring the paint back to showroom condition, then apply the ceramic coating to keep the shine. A coating over remaining scratches would just protect them, so polishing comes first.
Interior care
Seats, floor mats, headliner and dashboard are cared for with steam sterilizing and deodorizing. Interior cleaning is especially recommended for families with children.
Before we arrive
- A flat space big enough for one vehicle (an underground car park is fine)
- We recommend exterior polishing on a clear day. Interior cleaning is possible even when it rains.
- For corporate and event vehicles, tell us the number of vehicles and the services you want in advance.

For international clients
For foreign residents and international companies in Korea
If you look after company cars as an expatriate manager, or run a foreign-owned business in Korea, detailing is far easier when it comes to you. Ganzika works on-site, so the vehicle stays where it is parked and your team keeps to its schedule.
The service comes to your car
We travel to your office car park, your residence or your event venue anywhere in Korea. Schedules and travel charges depend on the area, so please call us. There is no need to drive to a workshop or arrange a driver.
What you need to prepare
All we need is a flat space big enough for one vehicle. An underground car park works too. If your building has access rules for outside contractors, it helps to tell the management office in advance.
Fleets and events
Group work on corporate vehicles and event vehicles is possible. When you call, tell us how many vehicles you have and which services you want, and we will help arrange the schedule.
How to book
Bookings are taken by phone at 010-7997-1933, every day from 09:00 to 20:00. Tell us the date and service you want and the booking is confirmed on the call. If you prefer, a Korean-speaking colleague or assistant can place the call for you.
