Care steps after the work

Right after the work

How careful you need to be about washing and contact with water right after polishing and coating differs by product. The standard you were given at the work is the most accurate, so follow it first, and call us if you do not remember it.

Washing tools and shampoo

• Use a pH-neutral shampoo rather than strongly acidic or alkaline products.
• Use a soft wash mitt or microfiber and avoid rough towels and sponges.
• Use clean tools rather than worn ones used on many cars. Grit on them causes scratches.

How to wash

• First loosen and rinse off dust and soil with plenty of water before touching the paint.
• Wash from top to bottom, from the cleaner areas to the dirtier ones.
• Rinse thoroughly before the shampoo dries.
• Blot the water off with a soft towel so no water spots remain.

Dirt to remove at once

• Bird droppings: they are acidic and can leave marks if left.
• Insect marks and tree sap: soften and wipe them off gently before they harden.
• Acid-rain stains: rinse them off with water before they dry.

What to avoid

• Automatic car washes with brushes can cause fine scratches.
• Washing in hot sun or on a hot body easily leaves water spots.
• Rubbing dust off with a dry cloth causes scratches.

Where you park

An underground car park or shade, where the car gets less sun and rain, is better for paint and coating. If you have to park outdoors, simply not leaving dirt on for long helps to keep the car in good condition.
